The Issue
NextGen Healthcare has identified an issue in the NextGen KBM Cardiology work flow where a patient could be incorrectly labeled as diabetic and/or hypertensive because the designated flag settings are set to “Yes” based on the most recent patient encounter timestamp,
even if that information is from a different patient.
This issue occurs when the user opens the Card_homepage template from the “Cardiology” work flow and it will only occur if the Diabetes and/or Hypertension flags were set to “Yes” for the most recent patient encounter.
Example
There are two patients scheduled, each with their own encounter showing in the workflow screen, the first for 10:00 AM and the
second for 10:15 AM.
The 10:00 AM patient is not diabetic or hypertensive but the second patient scheduled at 10:15 AM is both.
If the second scheduled patient’s Card_homepage template is opened before the first patient, the first scheduled patient’s Diabetic and Hypertension Flags will incorrectly pull values from the second patient.
Actions
required
Until the issue is resolved, the user will need to open the risk_factor_config template pop-up and manually correct the radio option if the diabetic and/or hypertensive flags are incorrect for the patient.
Status
This issue will be fixed in a future update.
Availability of a fix will be announced in a future communication. Thank you for your continued support.
