NextGen® KBM v.8.3.2 to v.8.3.7
The IssueNextGen Healthcare has identified an issue on the
Medication Management – Telephone template where a medication selected from the
Medications grid changes the medication displayed on the
Medication Refill section of the template.
ExampleExample 1In this example, the user opens an existing patient and creates a new encounter with two or more prescribed
medications.
The user navigates to the
Intake template and selects
Family Practice as the specialty and
Patient Communication as the visit type.
The user navigates to the
Telephone Call template and selects the
Medication Management active text.
From the
Medication Management – Telephone template, the user scrolls down to the
Medication Refill section, clicks in an empty row, selects a medication from the list, and documents the refill information into the
Comment/quantity/refills field.
The user then selects a different medication from the
Medications grid and sees the original medication to be refilled has been replaced by the one selected from the grid.

Actions Required
Until this issue is resolved, users should select the radio button below the original medication or deselect the radio button for the last medication refill,
prior to selecting a different medication from the grid.
This will ensure the original medication will not be replaced by the one selected from the grid.
