The Issue
NextGen Healthcare has identified an issue on the SOAP - Dermatology template where a coding point is not being assigned when groin, buttocks, or genitalia are documented as being examined.
Example
In this example, the user creates a new patient or opens an existing patient and creates a new encounter.
The user navigates to the Home Page - Dermatology template and selects Office Visit as the visit type.
The user selects the SOAP tab, scrolls down to the Areas Examined section of the Physical Exam panel.
The user selects the Groin, Genitalia, or Buttocks check boxes and clicks Save.
The user sees the documented information is displayed on the grid.
The user selects the Finalize tab, ensures the Established patient radio button is selected, and scrolls down to the Evaluation and Management Coding panel.
The user selects a Medical Decision Making radio button and clicks Calculate Code.
The user sees the coding point was not assigned on the 97 Single System Physical Exam Details, the 95 Physical Exam Details, or the 97 Multi System Physical Exam Details panels.
